Merino Care

The best thing about merino garments is how durable they are, if you look after them right they'll last for years, meaning you really only need 2-3 garments for 5-10 years.
But with that in mind, whats the best way to look after your merino garment?
Lets answer a few FAQ's we often get about our garments.

Can Merino Wool be Washed?

Absolutely! But, to be honest, you don't really need to. Merino has antibacterial properties so if you sweat through your merino shirt, it still won't smell; However, if you happen to be rolling around in mud and your merino is caked in clay then chuck in the washer on a cold delicates wash, preferably; hand wash if you can to prevent any shrinkage!

Can Merino Wool go in the dryer?

No, putting your merino in the dryer will likely cause it to shrink so we highly recommend you don't use your dryer.
Not that you really need to, merino is so good at moisture wicking, your garments will dry much faster than any of your other clothes.

Can Merino Wool be dry clean?

Some merino garments can BUT not ours... mostly for the same reasons as above.

Does Merino Stretch?

Merino is a very pliable garment, if you find your new tee is a bit smaller than you prefer, then you might find it'll stretch out the more you wear it. But if it's already perfect and you've stretched it out too much, give it a quick tumble and it'll shrink back to size! (don't leave it too long though...).

It's pretty easy to keep you merino garments happy and healthy to maximise its longevity, keep the washes cold, and hang it out to dry.
